ABSTRACT
In a series of lectures, will discuss the recent beautiful work by Dmitry Dolgopyat and Bassam Fayad on the deviation of ergodic averages for toral translations. This work gerenalizes a classic Theorem of Kesten in for one-dimensional rotations.
