On computing Jantzen filtrations for Hecke algebras of type E

ABSTRACT
We look at the decomposition matrices for Hecke algebras of type E_6, E_7 and E_8 endowed with some extra structure given by the Jantzen filtration. This talk will broadly speaking be in two halves. The first half will be concerned with calculating these matrices given bilinear forms on every irreducible module of the Hecke algebra. In the second half we look at how to calculate these forms. The computational power required to do both these jobs is very large and so we will also describe some of the practical computational techniques used.
