ABSTRACT
The Selberg-Delange method provides estimates for the summatory function of arithmetical sequences whose Dirichlet series is of the form \zeta(s)^z G(s), where z is allowed to be any complex power and G(s) is a holomorphic function in a region slightly to the left of \sigma=1.
We will talk about a generalised version of the method and give two applications: one on the density of integers represented by binary quadratic forms of a given discriminant and the other on the density of integers composed of a fixed number of prime divisors.
