Research Interests
I am a probabilist with a background in electrical engineering. Before I became a mathematician, I spent a few years of my life doing image processing and reconstruction for various tomography problems. I still think that's a lot of fun and will try to get back into it in the near future. These days, I mainly try to use probabilistic methods to study problems arising in biology and genetics, in particular, the evolutionary aspects.
