Research Interests

I work on complex, stochastic dynamic systems from a statistical perspective. Most of my current research lies in the intersection of statistics and systems biology. Particular areas of specialism are marked point processes, graphical methods, and state space models. I am particularly interested in the dynamics of biomolecular networks inside living cells: the importance of stochasticity in biochemical kinetics, the modular architecture of such networks, and how that architecture is related to information processing by the biochemical network.
