Research Interests
My initial research interest was in thermal explosion theory (thermal explosion occurs when the rate of heat produced by exothermic chemical reaction exceeds the rate of heat loss to cool surroundings - a runaway temperature rise results, leading to thermal ignition). Later I was involved in some work on boundary-layer theory and, most lately on channel flows, notably those cases where a gradual increase in a non-dimensional parameter leads to changes in the character of the motion.
