Research Interests
Geometric and arithmetic combinatorics, with some links to harmonic analysisand additive number theory. Problems like Erdös and Falconer distance one (the Euclidean Erdös distance conjecture has recently been settled by Guth and Katz, Erdös-Szemerédi type probelms involving sum-products and other expanders. I am particularly interested in analogues of Szemerédi-Trotter type theorems in the plane over a finite field. The other new aspect that has recently emerged is incidence theory between cosets of classical symmetry groups.
