| Aug 2010 - Dec 2011 | ALSPAC, University of Bristol | Research Assitiant in Medical Statistics. Working for cohort study on WCRF grant investigating relationship between dietary patterns and fat/lean mass. Also data buddying: preparing data for other collaborators. |
| Feb 2006 - July 2006 | University of New South Wales, Sydney | Casual Research Assistant. I supported two researchers in an evaluation of assessment methods in statistics service courses, managing data, providing reports and custom-made R graphics and specialised R programs. |

| May 2007 - Jun 2011 | University of Bristol | PhD Student, Statistics. Thesis title: Total variation denoising and multiresolution on graphs, with applications to house price data. Supervisor: Dr. Arne Kovac. I attended the full APTS course in 2007-08 and completed all eight coursework modules. |

| Sep 2004 - Feb 2005 | The Insolvency Service, Bristol | Insolvency Support Officer. I worked for the team in the Official Receiver's office. My duties included casework and court liason, developing and managing the Early Discharge procedure which was new at the time. |

| May 2006 | PricewaterhouseCoopers Prize for Data Mining, University of New South Wales. Mine was the highest mark in the postgraduate data mining course. A$1000. |
| July 2004 | Science Faculty Prize for Second Year Work, University of Bristol. This was awarded in restrospect after changes in the funding of these awards. £100. |
| Dec 2003 | I attended some lunchtime postgraduate lectures on Number Theory in my final undergraduate year, aimed at non-pure mathematicians. I won the prize for the best assignments. £10. |

I was partly able to star in the DVD thanks to serving as the maths department course representative for two years - a very rewarding experience. I sat on the Teaching Committee within the department, and the Board of Science at faculty level.
