About Me

I am currently an MRes (Masters in Research) in Statistics student funded through SuSTaIn in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Bristol.
I began studying in Bristol as a Mathematics Undergraduate in October 2007 after having attended The Royal Ballet School from the age of eleven.
In July 2010 I graduated with a First Class Honours in the BSc Mathematics.
Research Interests
My interest in research developed through the kind supervision by Dr. David Leslie of my undergraduate project, who I would like to thank for his support and encouragment. The research area I work on concerns the theory of stochastic approximation and its applications.
Over the summer of 2010, before beginning the MRes course, I continued to work with Dr. Leslie gaining knowledge in this field. During September I attended the stochastic approximation workshop organised by the Statistics Group in the department. The event, in which I participated as a speaker, brought together world specialists in this field.

Teaching
In the academic years 2010-2011 and 2009-2010, I helped teach second year mathematics undergraduates at the Maths Cafes in the department.
