Teaching

University of Bristol; 2012 onwards:

  • I am supervising an Msc student at the University of Bristol. His project will be in graph theory; in particular he will study (k,l)-tight graphs, matroids, connectivity and inductive constructions.
  • I will also be team lecturing on a new course: Topics in Modern Geometry 3 along with Andrew Barwell and Oliver Gray. The materials for the first two parts of the course can be found here and here. The materials for the 3rd part of the course will be added here as the course develops. Additional details and examples are provided in the lectures.
  • Lecture notes: November 2012
  • Exercise Sheet 5. Solutions are due in on the 16th November.
  • Exercise Sheet 6. Solutions are due in on the 23rd November.
  • Project options. 4th year students must choose a project before the 16th November.
  • The Fields Institute, University of Toronto; 2011:

  • I supervised a summer research project by Rebecca Tessier on combinatorial rigidity and graph constructions.
  • Lancaster University; 2007-2011:

  • I was a seminar and workshop tutor for a wide range of undergraduate courses.
  • Seminars

  • I am co-organiser of the Combinatorics Seminar series at the University of Bristol. If you would like to speak on any topic with a combinatorial flavour, please get in touch.
  • From 2010-2011 I organised the Lancaster pure mathematics postgraduate forum.
  •
