Clare Martin

I have completed the course requirements for an MRes in statistics in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Bristol, and am currently waiting for the results. I have now started a PhD in the same department. Both courses have been funded through the SuSTaIn programme.

My PhD is being supervised by Dr. Jonathan Rougier.

The MRes in Statistics was a new course which started in the academic year 2007-2008. Kara Stevens and I were the first students on it.

In between completing a BSc in mathematics at UCL, and starting the Masters course, I worked for two years. During this time I was employed both an Actuarial analyst and a Ratabase analyst. From July 2005 to November 2006 I was an Actuarial Analyst for Liverpool Victoria in Bournemouth. Then from January 2007 to September 2007 I was a Ratabase Analyst for Admiral in Cardiff.
