I'm a post-doc in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Bristol, UK. My research interests are in fluid dynamics, in particular in modelling the fluid and granular processes that occur in geophysical flows such as avalanches, debris flows and density/turbidity currents. I'm currently working on the role of entrainment in density currents with Andrew Hogg.
I obtained my PhD at the University of Manchester, researching granular flows under the supervision of Nico Gray. My undergraduate degree is in mathematics, from Churchill College, Cambridge. I have previously worked at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory with Chris Davis, researching atmospheric and ionospheric physics and working on calibration algorithms for the NASA STEREO spacecraft. For more information, see my publications.
