Problem sheets
- Sheet 1. Please do questions 1, 2, 4 and 5 and hand them in at the lecture on Wednesday 13 Feb.
- Solutions 1
- Sheet 2. Please do questions 3, 4 and 6 and hand then in at the lecture on Wednesday 20 Feb. It is also definitely worth your time looking at question 7 (WinBUGS). It will develop your understanding of the material significantly, while also being a very useful piece of knowledge to leave University with!
- Supplementary material for sheet 2. Since Bayesian A changed and I didn't notice, here are some scribblings to help you get the required distributions in Q6. Please let me know of any "typos" here, and you may want to use a more instructive formula for the posterior parameters in the "normal-gamma" section of the Wikipedia page on conjugate priors.
- Solutions 2
- Sheet 3. Please do any two questions and hand them in
at the lecture to my office (4.7 maths) by 5pm on Friday 1 MarchTuesday 5 March. Questions 2, 3 and 4 are excerpts from old exam papers.
