General Lectures, 2002-2003


The mathematics department is putting on a series of lectures for a general audience. Many of the lectures do not assume a background of A-level mathematics - refer to the detailed descriptions. Some lectures will discuss recent research,while others will deal with classical problems and ideas in mathematics. Both pure mathematics and its applications will be included.

All members of the University are invited to attend. The lectures are at 10am on Fridays in SM2, Department of Mathematics.
