General Lectures, 2005-2006


The mathematics department is putting on a series of lectures for a general audience. Many of the lectures do not assume a background of A-level mathematics - refer to the detailed descriptions. Some lectures will discuss recent research, while others will deal with classical problems and ideas in mathematics.

All members of the University and the public are invited to attend. The lectures are at 2pm on the first 8 Mondays of the Autumn term in SM1, Department of Mathematics.
