Title: Some characterization of clique trees and their application to statistical inference

Abstract :

We give some charaterizations of clique trees of chordal graphs. The characterizations are used to derive a complete description of minimal Markov bases and minimal invariant Markov bases for decomposable models for contingency tables in view of the fact that they posses Markov bases consisting of squarefree moves of degree two.
