DAN!

I'm a Postdoctoral Research Assistant working in the School of Mathematics at the University of Bristol.

My current project is an EPSRC funded study into periodic orbits as a basis for fluid turbulence working with Prof Rich Kerswell.

I completed my PhD working in the Vortex Dynamics group at the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of St Andrews.

My PhD research with my supervisor David Dritschel included work on helically symmetric vortex equilibria (JFM 2009) and a new hybrid Eulerian-Lagrangian model for 3D inviscid flows.

I am also a graduate of the University of Reading where I completed an MSc. entitled Mathematical and Numerical Modelling of the Atmosphere and Oceans jointly between the departments of Mathematics and Meteorology.
