Redirecting to new UCD site...

DAN!

I have recently moved to University College Dublin to work with Miguel Bustamante on singularities in fluid flows.

Please see here for my updated webpage: www.maths.ucd.ie/~dan

My project was on EPSRC funded study into periodic orbits as a basis for fluid turbulence working with Prof Rich Kerswell.

Please see http://arxiv.org/abs/1308.3356 for a preprint of our recent investigation of Kolmogorov flow in large domains.

Accompanying movies can be found HERE.

I completed my PhD working in the Vortex Dynamics group at the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of St Andrews.

My PhD research with my supervisor David Dritschel included work on helically symmetric vortex equilibria (JFM 2009) and a new hybrid Eulerian-Lagrangian model for 3D inviscid flows.

I am also a graduate of the University of Reading where I completed an MSc. entitled Mathematical and Numerical Modelling of the Atmosphere and Oceans jointly between the departments of Mathematics and Meteorology.
